Hi Ian, tell us a bit about yourself & Freedom PT Training
Hi, I have lived in Hildenborough since 1988 and have two young children, one of whom attends Stocks Green Pre School. After spending 7 years working for a national training provider I set up Freedom PT Training in 2012. Our goal is to deliver the very best level of education that includes recognising the importance of face-to-face delivery and time spent practicing the technical skills learned. We currently offer one of the longest and most comprehensive personal training qualifications in the UK.
Our courses appeal to a wide demographic ranging from those leaving education, those looking for a change in career or those already working in the fitness industry looking to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The Hildenborough Mums website is aimed at mums, dads and carers in and around Tonbridge & Hildenborough. How do you think Freedom PT Training would appeal to them?
One of the key reasons why a career as a Personal Trainer is so popular is the potential for flexibility. We have a lot of parents coming on our courses looking for something that can fit around childcare and also students looking to gain a qualification in their gap year before going off to university. We offer a wide range of accredited fitness and sports massage qualifications. Of course there is also the job satisfaction of doing something that you have a genuine passion for.
Tell us a bit about what you and Freedom PT Training bring to the local community
We have donated prizes to a number of local raffles, support other local businesses wherever possible and have delivered talks about various aspects of health and fitness to students in schools.
Where can we find you?
We are based at Tonbridge School Centre - http://www.sportscentre.tonbridge-school.co.uk/members-leisure-club/. So, not only are we at an easily accessible location between Hildenborough and Tonbridge, we can also utilise the fantastic facilities that are on offer there.
Lastly, tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
I can make a pretty good balloon dog, which proved quite useful recently at my daughter’s first birthday party. One of my earliest jobs was as a childrens fitness coordinator where I refined this and potentially a number of other similarly useful skills.
